Near Inco’s thaw shed where I work.
One grey wolf carrying a beaver tail in its mouth.
Also, I have seen many wolves while I am operating my front end loader.
Two years ago I measured a wolf footprint in the snow that was 5 1/2″ across!
It was the largest wolf I have ever seen.

Kevin Flett and I were on our way home from Split Lake to Thompson. Stopped because truck was overheating. A wolf appeared from the bushes and circled the truck three times. Wasn’t scared of us or the two other vehicles that were heading north on the same road.

Large, lanky, black wolf trotting along edge of highway. We stopped our car; as it went by it turned to watch us with its yellow eyes but it didn’t seem at all wary of us and just continued on its way.

At back door of Southwood in Thompson while I had a smoke. Though it was a big dog at first. But I’ve never seen a dog that big. When I whistled the wolf sat down and drew a bead on me. The encounter lasted about 5 minuets. Called the RCMP just in case persons were in the area.
